Getting Started with Veeam Data Cloud Vault

To start using Veeam Data Cloud Vault, you must complete the following steps:

1. Obtain Veeam Data Cloud Vault. This step differs depending on the scenario for obtaining the product. For more information, see Obtaining Veeam Data Cloud Vault.
2. Configure your Veeam Data Cloud Vault subscription and create the storage vault. For more information, see Managing Subscriptions.
3. Register Veeam Backup & Replication for the use with Veeam Data Cloud Vault. To do this, in Veeam Backup & Replication, initiate the process of adding Veeam Data Cloud Vault as an object storage repository. Veeam Backup & Replication will offer you to log in to the My Account portal and complete the operation. For details, see Using with Veeam Backup and Replication.
4. Connect Veeam Backup & Replication to the Veeam Data Cloud Vault subscription. To do this, use the My Account portal. For details, see Using with Veeam Backup and Replication.

Once you complete these steps, Veeam Backup & Replication starts communicating directly with the Veeam Data Cloud Vault storage. Data transfer is performed over a secure connection ensured by the Veeam Backup & Replication certificate. You do not need to obtain credentials for the storage manually and specify them in Veeam Backup & Replication.
