Managing Backup Servers

You can use the My Account portal to manage Veeam Backup & Replication servers registered for the use with Veeam Data Cloud Vault.

Connecting Backup Server to Storage Vault

You can connect a Veeam Backup & Replication to one or more storage vaults created in Veeam Data Cloud Vault. To connect Veeam Backup & Replication to Veeam Data Cloud Vault, do the following:

Log in to the My Account portal.
In the main menu, click Cloud Management > Backup Servers.
On the Backup Servers page, select the backup server that you want to connect to Veeam Data Cloud Vault.
In the Vaults section, expand the Veeam Data Cloud Vault subscription that contains the storage to which you want to connect Veeam Backup & Replication, locate the necessary storage and turn on the toggle next to the Storage Status field.
In the displayed window, click Confirm.

Once Veeam Backup & Replication is connected to the storage, the My Account portal will display the Connected status:

In the Storage Status field in the properties of the storage vault to which you connected Veeam Backup & Replication.
In the Vault Status field in the properties of the backup server.

Tip

You can disconnect the Veeam Backup & Replication server from the Veeam Data Cloud Vault storage later, if needed. To do this, on the Backup Servers page, navigate to the necessary backup server and storage vault, turn off the toggle next to the Storage Status field and click Confirm. The storage vault will become unavailable in Veeam Backup & Replication.

Deregistering Backup Server

You can remove registration of a Veeam Backup & Replication server if you do not plan to use it with Veeam Data Cloud Vault any longer.

To deregister a Veeam Backup & Replication server:

Log in to the My Account portal.
In the main menu, click Cloud Management > Backup Servers.
On the Backup Servers page, select the necessary backup server, click the menu icon next to the backup server name and click Deregister.
In the displayed window, click Confirm.
