Starting PowerShell Sessions from Veeam Products

You can start a PowerShell session directly from the Veeam Backup & Replication console or Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 console.

In this case, you will be able to perform actions with Veeam Explorers cmdlets without any additional configuration steps. As soon as you run a PowerShell session either from the Veeam Backup & Replication console or from the Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 console:

  • All related PowerShell modules are automatically imported into active memory.

For more information on modules installed with Veeam Explorers, see Getting started.

  • The Veeam PowerShell snap-in is automatically added into the PowerShell console.

For more information on the Veeam PowerShell snap-in, see the Getting Started section of the PowerShell Reference.

To start a PowerShell session, do either of the following:

  • In the main menu of Veeam Backup & Replication, select Console > PowerShell.

From the Console

  • In the main menu of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, select Console > PowerShell.
