Objects to Process
In this article
When deciding on the virtualized SQL Server(s) to be included in the image-level backup (‘parent’) job, consider the following:
- All databases of a single SQL Server instance will be processed sequentially, one by one - to minimize load on the SQL Server guest OS.
- If you want the log backup (‘child’) job to skip certain database (that is, exclude it from log processing workflow), you can set this database logging and recovery model to simple.
For SQL Server 2012 and later, Veeam Backup & Replication supports backup and recovery for AlwaysOn Availability Groups (as described later in this document).

AlwaysOn Availability Group requires that the SQL Server instances reside on Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) nodes. |
