Installing Mine with Veeam

To install Mine with Veeam, do the following:

Log in to the Mine console. For more information, see Accessing Mine Web Console.
Click Setup to launch the Nutanix Mine with Veeam setup wizard.
Complete the Nutanix Mine with Veeam cluster setup wizard. For more information, see Nutanix Mine Software Documentation.

As soon as you complete the setup wizard, the foundation server starts deploying the backup infrastructure components. While deploying the components, the foundation server performs the following configuration in the cluster:

Configures the Mine_Vm_PD protection domain to protect the foundation server VM.
Creates the Veeam_SetupVm, Veeam-Lin-Node-Boot, VgRepository-Veeam-Lin-Node volume groups for volumes attached to the foundation server, backup proxies and backup repositories.
Creates the Veeam_SetupVm_Container storage container to store management data and the Backup_Storage_Container storage container to store backup data.

Important

You must not change the configuration settings of the protection domain, volume groups and storage containers. Any changes made to the default configuration may cause operational issues.
