Add-StoragePluginSnapshot

This cmdlet creates a snapshot of a selected storage volume.

Example

This example shows how to create a volume snapshot.

You will need to perform the following steps:

  1. Run Get-StoragePluginHost to get the storage. Save the result to the $storage variable.
  2. Run Get-StoragePluginVolume with the $storage variable to get the volume. Save the result to the $volume variable.
  3. Run Add-StoragePluginSnapshot with the $volume variable.

$storage = Get-StoragePluginHost -Name "IBM Spectrum"

$volume = Get-StoragePluginVolume -Host $storage -Name "VOLUME-01"

Add-StoragePluginSnapshot -Volume $volume -Name "DailySnapshot01"
