Step 3. Specify GCP Project Settings

In this article

At the Project step of the wizard, specify project settings of your Google Cloud Storage:

From the Project drop-down list, select a project where the new archive repository will reside.

For a project to be displayed in the Project list, it must be added to Veeam Backup for GCP. For more information, see Adding Projects in the Veeam Backup for GCP User Guide.

From the Credentials drop-down list, select the service account to access the project.

If you have not added the service account beforehand in the Cloud Credentials Manager, click Manage cloud accounts or Add to add the necessary credentials.

Important

The HMAC key that you specify, must meet the following requirements:

It must be assigned to a service account that has an access to the project that manages GCP resources.

It must be added to the Veeam Backup for GCP project settings. For more information, see the Specify Service Account Name section in the Veeam Backup for GCP User Guide.
It must be assigned to a service account that has all the necessary permissions to manage and perform operations with Veeam Backup for GCP. For more information on permissions, see the following Veeam KB article: KB4062.
