Changing Data Collection Interval with PowerShell Script

The Change Interval Parameter.ps1 script allows you to automatically change the default data collection interval for Veeam OMS views.

As soon as you run the Change Interval Parameter.ps1 and set the desired interval value, the script will generate a new .omsview file with the same name as the original Veeam OMS view plus the new value in parentheses — for example, Veeam Backup Morning Coffee OMS.omsview(30 minutes). The new file will be stored in the same folder as the old file.

To apply changes, you will only have to reimport the newly generated view into the OMS workspace as described in section Installing Veeam Integration Pack for Operations Management Suite.

Changing Data Collection Interval with PowerShell Script Note:

If you change the data collection interval for a Veeam OMS dashboard and within that interval an infrastructure object acquires a new state, the dashboard will count both the old and the new states as two different objects.
