System Requirements

    Before you deploy Veeam Availability Console, make sure that your environment meets the necessary system requirements.

    Veeam Availability Console

    The machine where you want to install Veeam Availability Console must meet the following requirements.

    Specification

    Requirement

    Hardware

    CPU: modern x64 processor (minimum 4 cores)

    Memory: 4 GB RAM (minimum), 8GB RAM (recommended)

    OS

    Only 64-bit versions of the following operating system are supported:

    • Microsoft Windows Server 2019
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2012
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2
    • Microsoft Windows 10
    • Microsoft Windows 8.x
    • Microsoft Windows 7 SP1

    Note: You cannot install Veeam Availability Console on a machine running Microsoft Windows Server Core.

    Software

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2017/2016/2014/2012 (Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express and Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express are included in the setup)
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Native Client (included in the setup)
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 (included in the setup)
    • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 or later
    • Microsoft PowerShell 2.0 or later
    • Windows Installer 4.5
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11* or later, Microsoft Edge 40 or later, Mozilla Firefox 56 or later, Google Chrome 62 or later
    • Microsoft Report Viewer 2015 (included in the setup)
    • PDF viewer for viewing reports

    * Windows 8 x64 does not support Internet Explorer 11. If you deploy Veeam Availability Console on Windows 8 x64, you must install another browser (Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome) to connect to Veeam Availability Console from this machine.

    Veeam Cloud Connect

    Veeam Availability Console integrates with Veeam Cloud Connect and requires the following components deployed in the backup infrastructure.

    To work with vCloud Director tenants, Veeam Cloud Connect server must have PowerShell 3.0 or later

    For remote network discovery rules based on the IP range option, discovered computers must have these firewall rules enabled:

    • File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In), TCP port 445.
    • Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI-In).
    • Remote Scheduled Tasks Management (RPC), Remote Scheduled Tasks Management (RPC-EPMAP), Incoming TCP, RPC Dynamic Ports firewall rule.
