REST API

V13.1 continues progress toward full REST API coverage with additions across RBAC, malware detection, High Availability, deduplication repositories, and backup operations.

RBAC — REST API now covers complete Users and Roles management including creating and modifying custom roles and their ACL-based scope definitions.

Malware Detection — Malware detection settings, event management, scan triggering, and investigation actions are now fully accessible via REST API.

High Availability — Cluster management, failover, and switchover are now available via REST API for automation of HA workflows.

Deduplication repository management — Deduplication appliance repositories (Dell Data Domain, HPE StoreOnce, ExaGrid, Quantum DXi, Infinidat Infiniguard and Fujitsu CS800) can now be added, configured, and managed via REST API.

Instant Recovery to Azure — Helper appliance templates that assist with facilitating instant recoveries to Azure can now be fully managed via REST API.

Quick Backup for Hyper-V and Agents — Ad-hoc quick backup sessions can be triggered via REST API for Hyper-V and Agent managed machines, enabling post-malware-event backup automation.

Any-to-vSphere and Any-to-Hyper-V Instant Recovery — Scripted Instant Recovery from any image-level backup source to VMware vSphere or Hyper-V can now be initiated and managed via REST API.

Proxmox VE and Nutanix AHV — New methods to get Proxmox and Nutanix backups, restore points and sessions along with querying infrastructure and starting / stopping jobs are now supported.
