Veeam Plug-in for SAP HANA

Veeam Backup & Replication offers two options to protect SAP HANA servers and databases:

• Transactionally-consistent backup and restore of SAP HANA databases

To perform SAP Backint-based backup and restore of databases and logs, Veeam Backup & Replication uses Veeam Plug-in for SAP HANA. Use Veeam Plug-in, if you want to guarantee the transaction consistency of SAP HANA databases in your backups and store your database backups in Veeam backups repositories.

• Image-level or file-level backup and restore of SAP HANA servers

Veeam Backup & Replication (or Veeam Agent for Linux) that performs image-level or file-level backup and restore of the SAP HANA server. Note that image- and file-level backups of SAP HANA servers does not guarantee transaction-consistency of the databases. For details, see the Veeam Backup & Replication documentation.
