You can upgrade Veeam Backup for RHV from version 2.0, 2a, 3.0, 3a and 3b to 4.0.

To upgrade Veeam Backup for RHV 1.0 to version 4.0, you must first upgrade it to version 2a as described in the Veeam Backup for RHV 2.0 User Guide, section Upgrading to Veeam Backup for RHV 2a. |
To upgrade Veeam Backup for RHV to version 4.0, do the following:
- Upgrade your Veeam Backup & Replication server to version 12.1 as described in the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide, section Upgrading to Veeam Backup & Replication 12.
- Complete the Components Update wizard as described in the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide, section Server Components Upgrade.
