Hyper-V Task Manager VMM Plug-in

The Task Manager built-in to Windows in a Hyper-V host provides only common information on the CPU and memory usage and does not show which virtual machines use resources. To solve this problem, Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V provides a unique on-demand real-time analysis of key performance counters for Hyper-V hosts and VMs running on these hosts.

The Hyper-V Task Manager VMM plug-in allows you to run Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V from the SCVMM console.

To install the Hyper-V Task Manager VMM plug-in:

  1. In the SCVMM console, switch to the Settings tab.
  2. Select Console Add-ins and click Import Console Add-in.
  3. In the Import Console Add-in Wizard, click Browse, navigate to the <installation media>\Resource Kit \ Hyper-V Task Manager VMM plug-in folder and select the Veeam.Virt.HyperV.TaskManagerAddIn.zip file.
  4. Click Next and then click Finish.
  5. Restart the SCVMM console.

To launch Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V from the SCVMM console:

  1. Switch to the VMs and Servers tab.
  2. Select a host node in the VMs and Services tree.
  3. Click the Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V icon.

Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V will open in a new window.
