Restoring Cloud SQL Databases

In this article

In case a disaster strikes, you can restore databases of a Cloud SQL instance from an image-level backup. Google Cloud Plug-in for Veeam Backup & Replication allows you to restore databases to the original location or to a new location.

Veeam Backup & Replication does not restore databases from snapshots.

To restore a database, do the following:

    1. Launch the Database Restore wizard. To do that, open the Home view. In the inventory pane, navigate to Backups. In the working area, expand the necessary backup policy, select SQL instances that you want to restore and click Google Cloud SQL on the ribbon. Alternatively, you can right-click one of the selected instances and click Restore to Google SQL. In the Restore window select Google Cloud SQL database.
    1. Follow the instructions provided in the Performing Database Restore section in the Veeam Backup for Google Cloud User Guide.
