If Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliances become unavailable, for example, due to connectivity problems, you can rescan the appliances. Note that the appliance rescan option is disabled for available Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliances.
For Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliances that require upgrade, the appliance rescan is not available. For more information, see Upgrading Appliance.
To rescan a Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliance, do the following:
- Open the Backup Infrastructure view.
- In the inventory pane, select Managed Servers.
- In the working area, select the necessary Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliance, and click Rescan appliance on the ribbon. Alternatively, you can right-click the appliance and select Rescan.
- In the opened window, click Yes.
Veeam Backup & Replication will remove from the configuration database all data collected on the Veeam Backup for Google Cloud appliance. Then Veeam Backup & Replication will recollect data including the following: last 24-hour session results, data on all created snapshots, backups and policies.
