Managing Locations
In the Location section, you can manage multiple locations with Veeam Backup & Replication servers used as data source hosts.
To add a location, perform the following steps:
- Click Add.
- In the Add Location window, specify the following settings:
- Name — The name of the location.
- Data Sources — The FQDN or IPv4 address of the data source host. You can specify multiple hosts for one location.

You can also add Veeam Backup & Replication servers that you plan to use as data source hosts later. Note that in this case the No Events Found for the Last 24h alert will be triggered. For more information, see Alerts. |
- Country — The country that determines the location.
- Managed by — Splunk user roles allowed to view data from this location.
- Click OK.
Tip |
You can also give users granular permissions to data sources located in one country. To do this, create several locations with the same country but different data sources. |
To edit a location, click Edit. Note that you can only change data sources and users. If you want to change the location name or the country, you need to add a new location.
To delete a location, select one or more locations and click Delete.
