Licensing

To work with Veeam Backup & Replication, you must obtain a license key and install it on the backup server, as described in After You Install. If you do not install the license key, the product will operate in the Veeam Backup & Replication Community (free) Edition. For more information, see the Licensing section in the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide.

Apart from the Veeam Backup & Replication license costs, the costs of using Veeam Backup & Replication in the AWS environment may comprise the following components:

• costs of using EC2 instances,
• price of the Windows Server OS license,
• Amazon S3 data storage cost.
