After You Install

After you deploy Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, you must perform the following steps to start working with it:

1. Connect to the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 instance over RDP. For more information, see AWS Documentation.
2. Start the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 UI. To do this, click the desktop shortcut or select the product from the Start menu.
3. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 will display a window notifying that the product license is not installed.

To install a license, do the following:

1. In the notification window, click Yes.
2. In the License information window, click Install.
3. Browse to a valid license file for Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and click Open.

If you do not install a license, the product will operate in the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Community (free) Edition. For more information, see Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Community Edition.

4. If a newer version of the product is available, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 will display a window offering to install the update. For more information, see the Automatic Update section of the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 User Guide.
