Considerations and Limitations

When you plan to deploy and configure Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 in the AWS environment, keep in mind the following limitations and considerations:

To ensure successful deployment and installation of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, customers are encouraged to make sure they are operating within AWS Quotas and Service Limits. For more information, see AWS Service Quotas in the AWS Documentation.
Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 in AWS only supports the Marketplace of AWS Global and AWS GovCloud (US) regions. It does not support China region. For more information about regions where Amazon Simple Storage Service is available, see Amazon Simple Storage Service Endpoints and Quotas in the AWS Documentation.
Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 in AWS deployment is designed to get Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 launched quickly and easily. The Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 server is installed on a single EC2 instance and requires a single EBS volume. By default, this EBS volume does not have any backup. To easily recover from an EBS volume failure or single AZ failure, back up the EC2 instance that contains Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to a different availability zone.
