Licensing

To work with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, you must obtain a license key and install it on the backup server, as described in After You Install. If you do not install the license key, the product will operate in the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Community (free) Edition. For more information, see the Licensing and License Types section of the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 User Guide.

Apart from the Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 license costs, the costs of using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 in the AWS environment may comprise the following components:

• Costs of using EC2 instances
• Price of the Windows Server OS license
• Amazon S3 data storage costs
