Sync-VNXHost

Rescans Dell EMC VNX storage system.

Syntax

Sync-VNXHost -Host <CVnxHost> [<CommonParameters>]

Detailed Description

This cmdlet rescans Dell EMC VNX storage systems. During rescan Veeam Backup & Replication retrieves information about the storage system topology and adds storage volumes to the backup infrastructure.

Run Sync-VNXVolume to rescan Dell EMC VNX volumes added to the backup infrastructure.

Sync-VNXHost Note:

The cmdlet will not notify you in case Veeam Backup & Replication fails to perform a rescan.

Example

This example shows how to rescan a Dell EMC VNX storage system.

Run Get-VNXHost to get the storage system that you want to rescan. Save the result to the $storage variable.
Run Sync-VNXHost with the $storage variable.

$storage = Get-VNXHost -Name "VNX Storage"

Sync-VNXHost -Storage $storage
