Configuring Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension

To start working with Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension, perform a number of steps for its configuration:

1. Log in to Salesforce using credentials of a Salesforce Administrator with the VBSF Package Administrator permission assigned, and open Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension in the App Launcher.

By default, Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension automatically assigns this permission to the user who performed the product installation. To assign this permission to another user, follow the instructions provided in Salesforce documentation.

2. Register the product in Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce.
3. Define what archived objects can be accessed in Salesforce.
4. Configure page layouts for archived records.
5. Add custom tabs in Salesforce to be able browse to archived data.
6. Assign necessary permissions to Salesforce users.
7. Configure settings that will be applied during restore operations.
