Registering Product
To start working with Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension, you must register the product in Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce. During the registration process, Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce will create named credentials in your target Salesforce organization and will send a request to Salesforce to generate a certificate — it will be used to authenticate all requests from the product to Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce.
To register the product, do the following:
- Switch to the Getting Started tab.
- Click Veeam Data Cloud. You will be redirected to the Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce authentication page.
- On the Veeam Data Cloud portal, choose a sign-in method:
- To log in using your Microsoft 365 account, select Continue with Microsoft. You will be redirected to the Microsoft Entra authentication page.
- To log in using your Veeam My Account credentials, select Continue with Veeam. You will be redirected to the Sign in to Veeam authentication page.
Then, select an existing user or provide credentials for a new user to sign in. Keep in mind that the user that you specify must have the permissions required to manage tenants (that is, it must have either the Salesforce:Administrator or Salesforce:Backup Operator role assigned). - In Veeam Data Cloud for Salesforce, do the following:
- On the Overview page, navigate to Workloads > Salesforce.
- From the Tenant Name list, select a Salesforce organization where you want to register Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension.
Alternatively, you can enter the organization name in the search field.
- Navigate to Settings > Salesforce Connection.
- In the Salesforce Package Connection section, click Enroll Package.
