Viewing Archived Data

Important

For a user to be able to view archived data, they must be assigned the VBSF Archive Viewer User permission set in Salesforce as described in section Assigning Permissions.

You can view archived data in either of the following ways:

  • To view archived records of an object, navigate to the object list view and click Archived Records. The Archived Records page will open.

For the Archived Records button to be displayed on the object list view page, this button must be created in Salesforce and added to the List View Button layout as described in section Adding Custom Tabs and Buttons; for an object to be displayed in the list of available objects, it must be added to the Page Layouts page as described in section Adding Objects.

Viewing Archived Data

  • To view archived child records of an object, navigate to the object list view, click the name of the parent record that contains the necessary child records, and switch to the Archived Records tab.

For the Archived Records tab to be displayed on the record page, this tab must be added to the record page as described in section Adding Custom Tabs and Buttons; for a child record to be displayed in the list of available archived records, the object that contains this record must be added to the Page Layouts page as described in section Adding Objects, and the Related List View layout must be created and linked to the parent record as described in section Configuring Layouts.

Viewing Archived Data

TipS

  • If you want to view details on a specific record, click the link in the first column. The Record Preview window will open.
  • By default, Veeam Data Cloud Salesforce Extension displays only 5 child records per object. To view all archived child records of the selected object, click View All.
  • To apply specific search conditions and reduce the number of search results, you can click the Filters icon and filter records by date range. By default, filters are combined by the AND logical operator. That is, a record is displayed in the search results only if all the specified conditions are met.
