When planning your Veeam MP for VMware deployment, scalability is a key consideration. Each Veeam Collector can monitor a large VMware environment, delivering data for hundreds of VMs and the related vSphere hosts, storage and network fabric.

However it is possible to overload the Ops Mgr Monitoring Service with the published data, and instability and monitoring outage can result.

It is essential to understand the number of Veeam Collector servers needed to meet the scalability requirements. It is advised to use the guidance below to estimate these numbers before commencing deployment.
