Syntax
This cmdlet provides 2 parameter sets.
- For authenticating with the storage using user name and password:
Add-HP4Storage -DnsOrIpAddress <string> -UserName <string> -Password <string> [-Name <string>] [-Description <string>] [-Proxy <IProxy[]>] [-iSCSI] [-NFS] [-FibreChannel] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>] |
- For authenticating with the storage using credentials:
Add-HP4Storage -DnsOrIpAddress <string> -Credentials <CCredentials> [-Name <string>] [-Description <string>] [-Proxy <IProxy[]>] [-iSCSI] [-NFS] [-FibreChannel] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>] |
Detailed Description
This cmdlet adds a selected HPE StoreVirtual storage to Veeam Backup & Replication.
When adding a storage, you will need to provide either username/password or credentials. Use an appropriate parameter set for each case.
When you add a storage to your management console, Veeam Backup & Replication automatically rescans the storage infrastructure. To rescan the storage infrastructure manually, run Sync-HP4Storage or Sync-HP4Volume.
Alias
Add-VBRHPStorage

Example
This example shows how to add the HPE StoreVirtual storage to the backup infrastructure using credentials.
You will need to perform the following steps:
- Run Get-VBRCredentials to get a credentials record for the storage. Save the result to the $credentials variable.
- Run Get-VBRViProxy to get a backup proxy that will be used for storage rescan and Backup from Storage Snapshots. Save the result to the $proxy variable.
- Run Add-HP4Storage with the $credentials and $proxy variables.
PS C:\PS> $credentials = Get-VBRCredentials -Name "HPE StoreVirtual P4000 Administrator" PS C:\PS> $proxy = Get-VBRViProxy -Name 167.16.2.130 PS C:\PS> Add-HP4Storage -DnsOrIpAddress 167.16.2.134 -Credentials $credentials -Proxy $proxy -Description "HPE StoreVirtual P4000 Storage" |
