Adding Hybrid Connections

To configure connections in the Hybrid Connection Manager, perform the following steps:

  1. Connect to the server with the Hybrid Connection Manager installed.
  2. Run the Hybrid Connection Manager and click New.
  3. In the opened window, log in to your Microsoft Azure portal.
  4. In the New Hybrid Connection window, do the following:
  1. In the Subscription field, select your Microsoft Azure subscription.
  2. Select Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE servers you configured in watchlists and click Create.

Adding Hybrid Connections

If your add a hybrid connection with the server that is not joined to a domain, you must also map a hostname you specified in the watchlist to the IPv4 address of this server. Otherwise, Microsoft Azure services will not be able to connect to the server. To do this, add a record to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. For example:

198.51.100.4    vbrsrv01
198.51.100.5    vonesrv01

  1. Make sure that all Veeam servers you added to the Hybrid Connection Manager have the Connected value in the Azure Status column.
