About Veeam Service Provider Console

Veeam Service Provider Console is a cloud-enabled platform for the centralized management and monitoring of data protection operations and services. The solution is intended for physical and virtual environments protected with Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows, Veeam Agent for Linux and Veeam Agent for Mac (further referred to as Veeam backup agents), Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and Veeam Backup for Public Clouds. Veeam Service Provider Console allows you to deliver Veeam-powered Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) services to your customers.

General Features

General functionality of Veeam Service Provider Console includes:

  • Managing companies and resellers

You can manage the scope of provided services, and allocate cloud and hosted resources to managed companies and resellers.

  • Backup reporting

You can create reports showing whether protected workloads meet established RPO and SLA requirements.

  • Billing

You can monitor and calculate the cost of provided resources and automate billing operations for provided services.

  • License management and usage reporting

You can manage licenses and collect license usage information for managed Veeam products in a single view. Veeam Service Provider Console also allows you to create and manage VCSP Pulse license keys and assign license keys internally or to client companies and resellers without accessing VCSP Pulse portal.

  • REST API

You can perform most of the operations that are available with Web UI using Veeam Service Provider Console REST API. For details, see the REST API Reference.

Example Scenarios

The following example scenarios showcase Veeam Service Provider Console capabilities and configuration:

You can create and manage reseller accounts, delegate company management, configure alarm notifications and monitor license usage.

You can automate the deployment and configuration of Veeam backup agents in client infrastructures, manage backup jobs and policies, perform data recovery, as well as monitor and report on the status of data protection operations.

You can manage hosted and client Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructures, backup jobs and failover plans, as well as monitor and report on the status of data protection operations in the virtual environment.

You can manage hosted and client Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 infrastructures, as well as monitor and report on the status of data protection operations in the Microsoft 365 environment.

You can manage and monitor alarms triggered on hosted and client Veeam ONE servers.

You can deploy and manage Veeam Backup for Public Clouds appliances in hosted and client infrastructures, manage Veeam Backup for Public Clouds policies and restore data, as well as monitor and report on the status of data protection operations.

It is recommended that you familiarize yourself with these scenarios before you start configuring your own service and billing scheme in Veeam Service Provider Console.

Deploying Veeam Service Provider Console

Before You Begin

Before you start walking through the example scenarios, you must perform initial configuration of Veeam Service Provider Console:

  1. Configure notification settings.

  1. Create your company profile.

For details, see section Filling Company Profile of the Guide for Service Providers.

  1. Register client company account.

You must register an account for each client company to which you will provide managed and monitoring services. For details, see section Creating Companies in Veeam Service Provider Console of the Guide for Service Providers.
