This example describes how to dynamically group VMs by guest OS.
To group VMs by their guest OSes:
- Open Veeam ONE Business View.
- Create a category with the following properties:
- Friendly name: Guest OS
- Group type: Dynamic
- Object type: VM
For details on creating categories, see Creating Categories.
- Choose to create dynamic groups within the new category and specify the following grouping expression:
GuestOS
The expression returns the VM guest OS name, and includes the VM to a group with this name.
For details on creating dynamic groups, see Creating Dynamic Groups.
As a result, the Guest OS category will display a list of groups for VMs divided by the guest OSes.
