Restoring Amazon VPC Configurations

Veeam Backup & Replication allows you to restore the VPC configuration from a backup. You can restore VPC configuration data using one of the following disaster recovery scenarios:

  • A restore of an entire VPC configuration from a restore point. For more information on how to restore an entire VPC configuration, see the Performing Entire Configuration Restore section in Veeam Backup for AWS User Guide.
  • A restore of selected VPC configuration items. For more information on how to restore an entire VPC configuration, see the Performing Selected Items Restore section in Veeam Backup for AWS User Guide.

You can also restore VPC configuration data to the most recent state or to any available restore point, and perform restore to the original location or to a new location.

Note

VPC configuration restore is supported starting from AWS Plug-in for Veeam Backup & Replication version 10.0.3.825.

To restore a VPC configuration, do the following:

  1. Launch the VPC Restore wizard. To do that, open the Home view and navigate to the Backups > External Repository node in the inventory pane. In the working area, select the AWS Region for which you want to restore the VPC configuration. On the ribbon, click Amazon VPC.
  2. Complete the wizard as described in the VPC Configuration Restore section in the Veeam Backup for AWS User Guide.
