Uninstalling Veeam Availability Console

Complete the following steps to uninstall Veeam Availability Console:

  1. Uninstall Veeam backup agents from managed machines if you no longer plan to use the software.

You can uninstall Veeam backup agents from the Veeam Availability Console portal. For details, see Uninstalling Veeam Backup Agents for Service Providers or Uninstalling Veeam Backup Agents for Enterprises.

Otherwise, you can uninstall Veeam backup agents manually.

  1. Uninstall Veeam Availability Console management agents from managed machines:
  • Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager servers
  • Computers protected with Veeam backup agents
  • Computers that hosts the Veeam Availability Console master agent

You can uninstall management agents from the Veeam Availability Console portal. For details, see Deleting Management Agents for Service Providers or Deleting Management Agents for Enterprises.

Otherwise, you can uninstall management agents manually.

  1. Uninstall Veeam Availability Console using Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs in Microsoft Windows Control Panel.

If you deployed Veeam Availability Console using the distributed installation scenario, make sure you uninstall both the Veeam Availability Console Server and Web UI components.

  1. Remove the Veeam Availability Console database.

The Microsoft SQL Server instance installed and used by Veeam Availability Console is not removed as part of the uninstall process. The Veeam Availability Console database and its data is retained until you manually remove the database or uninstall the Microsoft SQL Server instance.

Uninstalling Cloud Infrastructure Components

If you deployed Veeam Cloud Connect solely for the purpose of using it with Veeam Availability Console, and no longer plan to use it, you can remove the cloud infrastructure:

  1. Uninstall Veeam Cloud Connect infrastructure components:
  • Cloud gateways
  • Cloud repository and cloud host components
  • WAN accelerators
  1. Uninstall Veeam Backup & Replication from the cloud server.
  2. Remove the Veeam Backup & Replication database.

The Microsoft SQL Server instance installed and used by Veeam Cloud Connect is not removed as part of the uninstall process. The Veeam Cloud Connect database and its data is retained until you manually remove the database or uninstall the Microsoft SQL Server instance.
