Accessing Veeam Backup & Replication Console

In this article

The Veeam Backup & Replication console is a client-side component. The console allows you to log in to Veeam Backup & Replication and perform all kinds of data protection and disaster recovery operations on the backup server. The console is installed on the Veeam Backup & Replication server by default.

    Note

This section provides instructions on how to access the Veeam Backup & Replication console for cases when you select to deploy a new Veeam Backup & Replication instance in the Nutanix Mine cluster deployment wizard.

To open the Veeam Backup & Replication console, do the following.

    1. Log in to the Nutanix Prism web console:
    1. Open http://cluster_ip_address:9440 in a web browser, where cluster_ip_address is the IP address assigned to the Nutanix Mine cluster.
    2. Enter the Prism Element user credentials that you have specified during deployment of the Nutanix Mine cluster.

    Tip

Some steps of these instructions are performed in the Nutanix Prism web console. For detailed instructions on how to work with Nutanix Prism, see the Prism Web Console Guide.

    1. At the main menu of the Prism web console, select the VM dashboard.
    2. At the VM dashboard, select the Table view and select the VM with the Veeam Backup & Replication server role.

If you haven’t changed the VM names in the Nutanix Mine cluster deployment wizard, the default Veeam Backup & Replication server name is Veeam-Win-Node1.

    1. Click the Launch Console link below the VMs table.
    2. In the VM welcome screen, enter credentials that you have specified at the Windows Credentials step of the Cluster Setup wizard.
    3. After you log in to the VM, click the Veeam Backup & Replication console icon on the desktop.
    4. Make sure the Use Windows session authentication check box is selected.
