Protecting RHV VMs

To back up an RHV VM using Mine with Veeam, perform the following steps:

  1. Install RHV Plug-in. For more information, see the Veeam Backup for RHV User Guide, section Installing Nutanix RHV Plug-In.
  2. Connect to the backup infrastructure the RHV Manager. For more information, see the Veeam Backup for RHV User Guide, section Connecting RHV Manager.
  3. Deploy an RHV backup proxy and add it to the backup infrastructure. For more information, see the Veeam Backup for RHV User Guide, section Deploying New Backup Proxy.
  4. Create a backup job to create restore points for the VM. For more information, see the Veeam Backup for RHV User Guide, section Creating Backup Jobs.

Once the backup job successfully creates a restore point for the VM, you can perform the following operations to restore the VM:
