You can move backups created with Veeam Agent from one Veeam backup repository to another. To move the backup, you need to perform the following operations:
- Locate backup files and move them to a new Veeam backup repository.
- Map a backup job to the backup files on a new Veeam backup repository.
Depending on the type of your backup job, you must consider different limitations and perform moving operations slightly differently. For example, Veeam Backup & Replication stores backup files for backup job and backup policy in different locations inside the backup repository. For details, see the following subsections:
