Step 2. Select Deployment Mode

At the Deployment Mode step of the New Nutanix Proxy wizard, select whether you want to deploy a new AHV Backup Proxy or register an existing one.

If you want to deploy a new AHV Backup Proxy instance on an AHV cluster, click Deploy new proxy.
If you already have AHV Backup Proxy deployed on an AHV cluster and you want to add this proxy to the Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure, click Connect proxy.

Important

Before you connect the AHV Backup Proxy, ensure you have removed it from the backup infrastructure where it was deployed before as described in section Removing Nutanix AHV Backup Proxies.
