Download the Update 3 patch provided in this Veeam KB article. Run the file using an account with local Administrator rights.

It is essential to install the Update 3 patch for any VAO-managed Veeam Backup & Replication server, as this update contains numerous enhancements and fixes required for VAO integration. |
Step 14.1. Download and Run Update3 EXE File
At the Welcome step of the wizard, click Next.
Step 14.2. Select Update Option
At the Ready to Install step of the wizard, select the Update remote components automatically check box, and click Install.
Step 14.3. Open Veeam Backup & Replication Console
After the installation process is complete, open the Veeam Backup & Replication console on the DR VAO server to update Veeam Backup & Replication components installed on managed servers. To perform the update, follow the steps of the Components Update wizard. For more information on upgrading server components, see the Veeam Backup & Replication documentation.
If you wish to use the embedded Veeam Backup & Replication server to run replication jobs and orchestration, it is recommended to connect to the required vCenter infrastructure and create replication jobs. VAO will discover replicas from these jobs and use them for failover plans.
