Veeam Backup & Replication Server(s)

Replication tasks can be managed by the embedded Veeam Backup & Replication server that is automatically installed in every VAO server, or by standalone Veeam Backup & Replication servers.

If you already have Veeam Backup & Replication servers deployed in your infrastructure, and replication jobs configured on these servers, you can add these backup servers to your VAO infrastructure.

Best practice recommends that the Veeam Backup & Replication server that performs replication must be connected to the DR site. Even if the Veeam Backup & Replication server becomes unavailable, the DR VAO server can still orchestrate failover plans by using its embedded Veeam Backup & Replication server.

Veeam Backup & Replication Server(s) Note:

VAO also supports a scenario when the Veeam Backup & Replication server is connected to a Production site, however it is not recommended since VAO functionality will be significantly limited in this case. For example, you will not be able to test failover plans in virtual labs and perform failback operations.

To be able to operate with a standalone Veeam Backup & Replication server, you must deploy the VAO agent on the server. The agent will provide integration between VAO and the Veeam Backup & Replication server, and trigger orchestration commands on the server.

I want to report a typo

There is a misspelling right here:

I want to let the Veeam Documentation Team know about that.
