Deployment

To start using Veeam Backup & Replication, do the following:

Install Veeam Backup & Replication.
Install the Veeam Backup & Replication console.
[For VMware vSphere] Add virtual infrastructure servers.
[For Microsoft Hyper-V] Add virtual infrastructure servers.
[For VMware vSphere] Configure VMware backup proxy.
[For Microsoft Hyper-V] Configure backup proxy.
Configure backup repository.
[Optional] Configure object storage repository.
[Optional] Configure scale-out backup repository.

Note:

In the simple deployment scenario, Veeam Backup & Replication uses the backup server also as the backup proxy and backup repository. For this reason, you can skip steps 5-7.
