This cmdlet creates a snapshot of the selected HPE StoreVirtual storage volume.

Parameters

Volume	Specifies the storage volume for which you want to take snapshot.	True	Named	False	False
Name	Specifies the name you want to assign to the snapshot.	False	Named	False	False
Description	Specifies the description of the snapshot. If not set, Veeam Backup & Replication will enter date and time of creation by default.	False	Named	False	False
Application Managed Shapshot	Indicates if the VM on the target volume should be quiesced to bring VM data to a consistent state. If omitted, Veeam Backup & Replication will create a point-in-time snapshot.	False	Named	False	False

Example

This example shows how to create a snapshot of a volume.

Run Get-HP4Storage to get the storage and save it to the $storage variable.
Run Get-HP4Volume with the $storage variable. Save the volume to the $volume variable.
Run Add-HP4Snapshot with the $volume variable.

PS C:\PS> $storage = Get-HP4Storage -Name "HPE StoreVirtual VSA"

PS C:\PS> $volume = Get-HP4Volume -Storage $storage -Name "HPE Volume 01"

PS C:\PS> Add-HP4Snapshot -Volume $volume -Name "HPE Volume 01 Snapshot"
