Registering in Veeam Data Cloud

To start offering Microsoft 365 backup as a service using Veeam Data Cloud, the service provider must register in Veeam Data Cloud through Veeam Cloud & Service Provider Pulse.

To be able to register in Veeam Data Cloud, the service provider must meet the following requirements:

  • The service provider must have an active rental contract.
  • The account used to register the service provider for Microsoft 365 backup must have the primary license admin permissions.
  • The email address that you use to register the service provider must have a Microsoft 365 account.

  2. In Veeam Cloud & Service Provider Pulse, on the VDC Registration Request page, enter the Veeam Cloud & Service Provider partner details and click Submit.

Veeam Cloud & Service Provider Pulse will send a request to the integration platform. The integration platform will create an account for the service provider in Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 and send an email with an activation link to the specified email address.

Important

The email address that is populated in the Email field must have a Microsoft 365 account. The Veeam Data Cloud portal uses Microsoft 365 to authenticate users. For details, see Accessing Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365. If the email specified does not have a Microsoft 365 account, the user will see an error when attempting to log in.

To change the email address, open a support ticket on the My Account portal:

  • To change the email address before you submit the form, go to https://my.veeam.com > Support > Open a case > Licensing > Change License Administrator. In the request, specify a new Microsoft 365 email address for the License Administrator. Once the support team makes the change, you can proceed to the Veeam Data Cloud registration again.
  • If you submitted the form with an email address that does not have a Microsoft 365 account, go to https://my.veeam.com > Support > Open a case > Licensing > Other. In the request summary, enter Add new VDC admin for VCSP, then specify the details of the account that you want to change and a new Microsoft 365 email address for the License Administrator.
