Expiration and Grace Period

To provide enough time to update a license, Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV offers a grace period.

During grace period, you can perform all types of data protection and disaster recovery operations. However, Veeam Availability for Nutanix AHV will inform you about the license expiration when you open the web UI. The license status in the License Information window will appear as Expired (<number> days of grace remaining).

Grace period lasts 30 days. There is no grace period for Trial license.

If you do not update the license until the end of the grace period, you will not be able to back up VMs. However, you will be able to restore VM data from existing backups.
