Before you create a backup policy, check prerequisites. Then use the Add Policy wizard to configure the backup policy.
- Launch the Add Policy wizard.
- Specify a backup policy name and description.
- Specify backup source settings.
- Specify backup target settings.
- Specify the backup schedule.
- Review estimated cost for protecting EC2 instances.
- Specify automatic retry settings and notification settings.
- Finish working with the wizard.
