Disabling and Enabling Backup Policies

You can temporarily disable backup policies created in Veeam Backup for AWS. When you disable a backup policy, Veeam Backup for AWS does not start the backup policy by the specified schedule. You can start a disabled backup policy manually at any time you need. You can also enable a disabled backup policy at any time.

Disabling Backup Policies

To disable backup policies:

1. In the main menu on the left, click Policies.
2. Select check boxes next to backup policies that you want to disable.

You can use the search field to find the necessary backup policy by name or use filters to limit the list of displayed backup policies.

3. At the top of the backup policies list, click Disable.

Enabling Backup Policies

To enable the disabled backup policies:

1. In the configuration menu on the left, click Policies.
2. Select check boxes next to disabled backup policies that you want to enable.

You can use the search field to find the necessary backup policy by name or use filters to limit the list of displayed backup policies.

3. At the top of the backup policies list, click Enable.
