Specifying Yearly Schedule

You can specify the yearly schedule for the backup policy only if you selected to create image-level backups at the Target step of the wizard.

To specify the yearly schedule, at the Schedule step of the wizard, complete the following steps:

1. Set the Yearly retention toggle to On, and then click Edit yearly settings.
2. In the Yearly schedule section, select a day, month and time when the backup policy must start creating image-level backups. For example, if you select First, Friday, January and 06:00 PM, the backup policy will run every first Friday of January at 06:00 PM.
3. In the Keep backups for field, specify the number of years for which you want to keep restore points in a backup chain.

If a restore point is older than the specified limit, Veeam Backup for AWS removes it from the chain. For details, see Retention Policy for Backups.

4. Click Apply.
