Creating Backup Jobs

To back up VMs, you must configure a backup job. Backup job defines the source VMs, repository where the backup file will be stored, the job schedule and other settings.

Before creating a backup job, check prerequisites and limitations. Then launch the Add new backup job wizard and configure the backup job setting:

  1. Specify general settings
  2. Selects VMs to backup
  3. Specify the backup repository where backups will be stored
  4. Define the job schedule
  5. Finish working with the wizard
