Step 1. Configure Veeam Backup & Replication Server

You must configure Veeam Backup & Replication components that will take part in protection of Nutanix AHV VMs.

  1. Install Veeam Backup & Replication

Alternatively, you can use an already deployed instance of Veeam Backup & Replication version 10 or later.

  1. Configure backup repository

In the Veeam Backup & Replication, add a backup repository where you want to store AHV VM backups.

Tip

You can use a default backup proxy assigned to Veeam Backup & Replication server. There is no need to configure a new backup proxy. For details, see the Backup Proxy section of the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide.
