Deselect vs. Unselect

In Veeam technical documentation, we use neither deselect nor unselect when it comes to canceling the selection of check boxes — we use clear instead.

Tip

When it comes to editing lists of selected elements, use neither deselect nor unselect as well. Try using modify, exclude or remove instead.

Examples

  1. Deselect the Set unlimited quota check box if you want to limit the number of VMs and Veeam backup agents that reseller clients can store in the backup repository.
