Parentheses

Parentheses are punctuation marks used to provide additional, nonessential details on the information you have just mentioned.

If you want to provide some important information, do not include it in parentheses.  

Examples

  1. The dashboard provides overview details (and performance analysis) for a chosen backup repository for the last week. [important information]
  2. Veeam Backup & Replication copies only those VM data blocks that have changed since the last backup job session (full or incremental). [supplementary details]
