A number of Veeam solutions comes with PowerShell extensions (snap-ins to Microsoft Windows PowerShell) that allow you to perform operations available in a user interface through the Windows PowerShell console. In addition, some Veeam solutions expose their entities through an application programming interface (API) based on the Representational State Transfer (REST) architecture style that allows you to perform operations available in a user interface through HTTP requests and standard HTTP methods.
