Setting Group Failover Order

VM groups in a failover plan are processed in the order they appear in the Plan Groups list. If some VMs in a group are dependent upon VMs in other groups, make sure that the required group is failed-over first.

To change the processing order for groups included into a failover plan:

Select the plan and click Manage > Edit.
On the Edit Plan page:

In the Plan Groups column, select a group.
To move the group up or down the list, use the Up and Down arrows.
To save changes made to the plan settings, click Save.

Setting Group Failover Order Note:

By design, failover plans contain two default groups — Pre-failover steps and Post-failover steps. These groups include plan steps that run before and after the failover process. You cannot change the processing order for the Pre-failover steps and Post-failover steps groups, but you can add and remove steps for these groups.
